CELEBRATED PRESENTER, actress, entrepreneur and the second runner-up in the Miss Malaika 2012 beauty pageant, Regina Van Helvert, is the face of Black Secret.

Regina, who is also the face of ICONA, a UK brand that deals in home appliances in Ghana and the host of ‘TouchDown’ on Live FM, is currently the face and ambassador of Black Secret, a Ghanaian-owned makeup brand. She was unveiled last Friday at the head office of the brand.

Ms Van Helvert expressed gratitude and promised to do her very best to honour her part of the deal.

She said, “I am grateful to be part of this brand, especially as a makeup brand. My makeup is my best friend because it boosts my confidence due to my work as a media person. As a woman, you need confidence to rule your world; looking good can boost that confidence and makeup like Black Secret is what every woman needs to enhance their beauty.”

Ms Van Helvert told fylladey that she was ready to use her role as the Ambassador to educate the youth to build confidence in themselves and to be more enterprising rather than staying home idle.

According to Mr Bernard Annor, the Managing Director of the Black Secret, Ms Van Helvert is the best choice for a brand like theirs, stressing that “Regina Van Helvert was the name that popped up after we submitted lots of names through our questionnaires to be decided on as the brand ambassador.”

Speaking us, Mr Annor said “Regina is vibrant, young, affordable and very much enterprising, who can help push our brand to wherever we want it to go. We made a great choice, I must say. It is a year contract but it can be renewed after both parties want it to.”

Mr Annor added that Ms Van Helvert’s role as the ambassador would include taking professional shoot for the brand, being in TV commercials, endorsements on behalf of the brand, attending meetings and doing other things to get the brand to the masses.

The Chief Executive Officer of Makeup Ghana, Miss Rebecca Donkor, who was at the event, congratulated the makeup brand on making Ms Van Helvert their ambassador due to her relevance in the media and also for being someone who patronises the makeup brand.
