Over the Weekend, Ghana’s Eleven-year-Old DJ Switch was adjudged the Best DJ of the Year at the Country’s awarding scheme for Disc Jockeys, Ghana DJ Awards.
After Erica Armah Bra-Bulu Tandoh known as DJ Switch was crowned the best of the country, there have been major concerns of industry folks if she really deserved the Award.
Going head to head with leading DJ’s who has more experience than her makes a lot of industry “gatekeepers” fight over the crown that was given as the best DJ of the Year.
The majority of Ghanaians say she deserves the awards since she has played a lot of high-profile shows than the competitors in her category that is DJ Black, who is a mentor to DJ Switch and DJ Vyrusky.
After the announcement of the DJ switch’s crowning, a lot of changes have been seen on the part of the organizers as Eligibility terms have been changed on the website of the award organizers.
DJ Switch became the youngest individual to win the Best DJ of the Year award a year on after winning the Discovery of the Year award in 2018 edition. She also won the Best Female DJ Award.
