IN A NUTSHELL
  • ⚡ The RemigoOne Neo offers a 50% power increase while maintaining a lightweight design for easy portability.
  • 🔋 Features a “Boost” mode allowing temporary 1,500-watt power surges for challenging conditions.
  • 🚤 Compatible with boats up to 25 feet in length or 1.5 tons, ensuring versatile use.
  • 🔌 Offers practical charging options, including an optional fast charger for quicker recharges.

The evolution of electric outboard motors is taking a significant leap forward with the introduction of the RemigoOne Neo. This innovative product from Slovenian e-drive company Remigo is designed to meet the needs of small boaters seeking a compact yet powerful motor. By delivering more power without increasing weight significantly, the RemigoOne Neo offers an attractive solution for those navigating small boats, dinghies, and tenders. As the demand for sustainable and efficient boating solutions grows, this new motor presents a noteworthy option for eco-conscious mariners.

Enhanced Power Without Compromise

Remigo’s latest offering, the RemigoOne Neo, stands out by providing 1,500 watts of power, a 50 percent increase from its predecessor. This boost in power is achieved without sacrificing the motor’s compactness and portability. The motor weighs less than 30 pounds, making it easy to carry and install on various small boats. The increase in power is particularly beneficial for boaters who need a quick burst of speed to navigate challenging conditions such as gusty winds or fast currents.

The motor’s “Boost” mode is a key feature, allowing users to access the full 1,500 watts for up to 60 seconds. This temporary power surge is designed to conserve the battery while still providing necessary thrust when needed. After the boost period, the motor reverts to a standard power output of 1,000 watts. This intelligent power management ensures that users have access to additional power without compromising the motor’s overall efficiency.

The role of technology in personal finance management

Design and Adaptability

The RemigoOne Neo’s thoughtful design includes a slimline aluminum unibody that houses both the motor and the battery. This construction not only contributes to the motor’s lightweight nature but also enhances its durability and waterproof capabilities. The motor’s length is adjustable, ranging from 15 to 25 inches, allowing it to fit various boat types and sizes.

The motor’s versatility extends to its compatibility with boats up to 25 feet long or weighing up to 1.5 tons. This makes it suitable for a wide range of recreational vessels, from dinghies to small sailboats. The inclusion of a transom mounting bracket that weighs approximately 5 pounds allows for easy installation and removal, adding to the motor’s practicality.

How technology is changing the landscape of sports

Operational Range and Efficiency

While the RemigoOne Neo’s peak power rating of 1,500 watts is impressive, its impact on operational range is minimal. When the boost mode is used sparingly, the motor maintains an efficient energy consumption profile. At a top speed of 6.3 mph in boost mode, the motor can cover an estimated range of 4.2 nautical miles. In contrast, at the standard 1,000-watt output, the motor reaches speeds of 5.8 mph and extends the range to approximately 5 nautical miles.

For more extended journeys, the motor offers an Eco mode that reduces speed to 2.3 mph, significantly increasing the range to about 30 nautical miles. These varying modes provide users with the flexibility to choose the most suitable power setting based on their specific boating needs and conditions.

Practical Charging and Control Options

Charging the RemigoOne Neo is straightforward, with a standard charging time of six hours from a regular electrical socket. For those who require faster charging, an optional fast charger can reduce this time to three hours. Additionally, a 12-/24-V charger is available for use in the field, although it requires a longer charging duration of 10 to 12 hours.

The motor’s operation is user-friendly, featuring a simple two-button interface and the option of a remote control. The remote can be docked on the tiller handle or used within 49 feet of the motor, providing convenient control options for the skipper. The motor’s construction ensures reliable performance, with IP67 waterproofing to protect the electrical components from harsh marine environments.

As the demand for sustainable boating solutions continues to rise, the RemigoOne Neo sets a new standard for compact electric outboard motors. Its combination of enhanced power, portability, and efficiency makes it an appealing choice for small boat owners. With the market for eco-friendly marine technology expanding, will this innovative motor inspire further advancements in the industry?
